Space frame Herenfiets.

 Voor een Fietser.be klant die een gewone herenfiets nodig had (ja dat bestaat ook nog ;-) specifiëerden we deze schitterende Eiffel.
Gebouwd in Nederland door Azor.nl, en voorzien van Magura hydraulische remmen, lekbestendige ballonbanden, dynamoverlichting.... Een mooi leren zadel en mooier voorlicht moeten er nog op.

 

ICE trike Sprint X + Rohloff = 42 speed expeditie trike.

Deze klant gebruikt zijn veel te mooie Sprint X voor woon-werk verkeer, en de fancy X0 groep bleek niet bestand tegen de sneeuw. Gezien de plannen voor een wereldreis hebben we er meteen een bomvrije Rohloff op gezet.

WAW Human Heated Vehicle.

When we conceived the convertible or 'cabrio' canopy of the WAW, it was nicely multifunctional:

 - when the rear of the canopy was up, it created a vacuum that sucked the air out and defogged the windscreen / visor, while cooling the head, which is the body's main radiator. It had three positions: closed, a little and a lot.

 - When closed, it functioned like the original WAW canopy with a motorcycle-like visor, as designed (AFAIK) by Frederik Vandewalle and later implemented on other velomobiles.

Wind-test op de Milan SL

Ons 'projectje voor als er eens tijd is': de Milan SL waarmee ik mezelf eens wou verwennen. We gaan ons moeten haasten of mijn mid-life is over voor ie af is.

This is an extremely sporty yet well equipped velomobile: very fast with its light carbon body and aero tail, yet safe enough for urban traffic with a Kevlar shock absorbing nose.

Due to its full carbon body this carbonWAW is hyperefficient (and did I mention, fast? and Yellow?) but rather spartan as well. So you can commute with it if you have reasonably good roads and a healthy spine. Which the owner hasn't.

This XL WAW3 has seen a lot of commuting, but has been well maintained (at Fietser.be), and comes with fresh front wheels. Just now the aluminium pedal substructure has been completely replaced, struts and transmission maintenance done for the sale, the canopy is brand new!

Mechanically it's in fairly good condition - you know you can't go wrong with a Rohloff; with a new subframe and our indestructable Kevlar body this WAW can roll forever again.

However the nose has some cosmetic damage. A new one is around 600 € but we figured we would let the buyer choose and possibly spread the cost.

Virtuele veiligheidsgordel

Bij de ontwikkeling van de WAW is passieve veiligheid altijd een belangrijke focus geweest. Een van de minder bekende maar goed werkende aspecten hiervan is wat we de 'virtuele veiligheidsgordel' noemen: 

• Bij ontspannen rijden hebben de schouders vrije ruimte. 
• In een stress-situatie als een (nakende) aanrijding spant het lichaam zich op. 
• De ronde boord van de cockpit voorkomt dat de rijder uit de beschermende kooi van carbon en kevlar vliegt.

Koga custom elektrische fiets

We bouwden deze elektrische fiets op basis van een lichte Koga. Het programma was: zo subtiel mogelijk, voor sportief fietstoeren maar met occasionele hulp bergop.We kozen voor een lichte voorwielmotor met sperlager, die de fiets zo intact mogelijk houdt.
